Alonso, the official Fatima archivist for sixteen years
until his death, who had unrestricted access to Sister
Lucia. Father Alonso stated that the Third Secret, which
follows the words "In
Portugal, the dogma of the Faith will always be preserved
etc.", probably foretells "the crisis of the
Faith in the Church and the negligence of the pastors
themselves".
The Italian
text of the 1984 interview of Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger
in Jesus magazine, wherein the Cardinal revealed that
the Third Secret speaks of "dangers
threatening the Faith and the life of the Christian and
therefore of the world" and that it also contains "what
has been said again and again in other Marian apparitions." The
vision published by the Vatican in June 2000 does not
correspond to these revelations of the Cardinal.
